At BASF, data protection takes precedence. This page is designed to provide information about how we are following data protection rules, what information we collect while you are browsing our website/app, and how that information is collected, used and protected by us, in accordance with Law no. 13,709/2018 (General Data Protection Law - “LGPD”).

First and foremost: your personal data will only be used in the cases detailed below and will not be used in any other cases without your express consent.

This Data Privacy Policy applies to the collection and processing of data only for the following communication platforms/fronts: marketing emails, social media (Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube), mobile device apps, corporate website, and WhatsApp (receiving content and information about the brand).

• Requested URL or file
• Date and time of your visit
• Volume of data transmitted during browsing
• Server status information, such as error messages during browsing.

This information is analyzed anonymously. Used only for the purpose of improving the attractiveness, content and functionality of our website/app. When data is passed on to external service providers, we take technical and organizational measures to ensure that data protection standards are respected.

Collection and processing of personal data

Personal data is only collected when you provide it in the course, for example, by registering on our website/app, filling out forms or sending emails, or by ordering products or services, inquiries or ordering material.

Your personal data remains with our company, our affiliates, and our provider, and may only be shared by BASF with its suppliers/service providers who need access to such data in order to fulfill their obligations with BASF. In this case, such suppliers/service providers may only use your personal data in accordance with our instructions and the purposes set out below in this Policy, and are contractually obliged to comply with the applicable legal data protection requirements.

The personal data we collect will only be used in order to fulfill our obligations to you and keep you informed about events, technical content/studies, products, services, opinion polls about products and services and/or other Suvinil information, according to your profile, through marketing emails, SMS, messages via WhatsApp and push notifications through the Suvinil app.

Important: your personal data will only be used for any other purpose when you have given your specific consent to do so. You can revoke your consent for the use of your personal data at any time, just send an email requesting the revocation of your consent to the Data Supervisor’s email address, informed at the end of this Policy. Please, note that this revocation of consent may impact the availability of certain services and programs, as well as your access to information about BASF, which is shared via digital channels, such as marketing emails sent based on your interests.

Even after the termination of the contractual relationship, we may process some of your personal data to exercise our rights guaranteed by law, including as evidence in legal, administrative or arbitration proceedings, especially those related to settlement of claims involving you and/or third parties.

Data retention

We store personal data for the period necessary to perform a service that you have requested or to fulfill the purposes for which you have granted your permission, as long as there are no contrary legal requirements, such as in the case of retention periods required by commerce or tax rules.

Safety

BASF has technical and organizational security measures to prevent the information you provide from being manipulated, intentionally or unintentionally, lost, destroyed or accessed by unauthorized persons. When personal data is being collected and processed, the information will be transferred in encrypted form, in order to prevent the misuse of the data by third parties. Our security measures are continuously analyzed and reviewed, according to the appropriate technology.

Although BASF does its best to preserve your privacy and protect your personal data, no transmission of information is completely secure, so BASF cannot fully guarantee that all information it receives and/or sends is not target of unauthorized access by means of methods developed to obtain information improperly, such as technical failures, viruses or invasions of the website’s database.

In any case, in the remote event of incidents of this nature, BASF guarantees its best efforts to remedy the consequences of the event. BASF is not responsible for any other website that can be accessed from ours, and there is no link between such addresses.

Right to obtain and correct information

You have the right to obtain information about all your personal data stored, you can receive it, examine it and, if necessary, change or delete it. To do this, simply send an email to the Supervisor’s email address, informed at the end of this Policy. The deletion of your personal data will be carried out, unless we are required by law to store such information (according to the item “Data Retention” above).

BASF will use its best efforts to fulfill User requests in the shortest possible time. In the case of an exclusion request, the minimum storage period for information of users of Internet applications, determined by Brazilian law, in addition to other applicable laws such as labor and tax laws, will be respected.
